Pablo Figueroa is an Argentine anthropologist, researcher, and educator working at the intersection of cultural anthropology and the visual arts. He is interested in the relations between images, society, and thought.
Figueroa holds a degree in anthropology, a MA in East Asian Studies, and a Ph.D. in Advanced Studies in Artistic Productions. His photographic images have been shown in group and solo exhibitions.
Pablo Figueroa has been faculty at Waseda University, Tsuda University, and Temple University. He has made presentations at numerous international venues including Universitat de Barcelona, Cardiff University, SOAS University of London, University of Singapore, City University of Hong Kong, National Chengchi University, and University of Washington, among others. Figueroa currently teaches courses on globalization, cultural studies, and contemporary disasters at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.
